Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners in the Mathematics Classroom_Lindale

The diversity of students is apparent in every classroom. This session will concentrate on how to meet the needs of all students using the components of the Guided Math Model. We will talk about the management of each component and how they converge to meet student and teacher needs. Come prepared to walk out with activities that can be implemented with low prep and high yield as well as explore manipulatives used in small group instruction and see how they connect vertically across grade levels, We will experience how important the stages of concrete, representational, and concrete are for learners and how this will translate to student performance. This workshop is for Lindale ISD. If you are interested in a similar session for your district please contact Heather Plaisance at hplaisance@esc7.net.
