Autism and Behavior in the General Education Classroom 22-23

Including students with autism throughout the campus can pose unique challenges. In this workshop, participants will learn about the symptoms of autism spectrum disorder and how they can affect different parts of a student's school day. Participants will learn the legal requirements for including students with autism and the long-term effects. Participants will also learn how to improve challenging behavior related to autism through evidence-based strategies. Participants will be better equipped to include students with autism in their classrooms to improve student outcomes.
This workshop is primarily for Lindale ISD staff.
