Junior Citizen Bee 2024- Student Event

This Regional competition is for middle school students in grades 6-8. The contest promotes civic understanding in a spelling bee format. Students answer questions based on political, cultural, historical, and current events, economics, landmark Supreme Court cases, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and Constitutional amendments. The contest content aligns perfectly with the 8th-grade STAAR test. This contest is open to all Region 7 districts and charters. Teachers must register with Region 7 and will register students directly with Bee in the Box. Contact Mary Jane Dean for additional contest information at mjdean@esc7.net.
