3rd-8th Grade Vertical Science Planning for the 23-24 School Year and Planning for the new TEKS - Mineola ISD

We will examine the science vertical alignment for grades 6-8 for the current science TEKS. We will also explore the background, rationale, and content of the new 2024-2025 Science TEKS to prepare for the implementation of high-quality K-12 science instruction. Explore the changes to the TEKS, such as the integration of science and engineering practices (SEPs) and recurring themes and concepts (RTCs), and unpack the implications for transitioning and planning classroom instruction to improve student learning outcomes. We will also work on planning with TEKS Resource System components for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years.
