Taking the Head Start Classroom Outdoors

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Join us as we explore learning in outdoor environments. This training will highlight various resources and activities that promote and connect outdoor learning with students' natural curiosity, extend classroom lessons, and enrich the social-emotional development, health, and well-being of our Head Start students. Be prepared to immerse yourself in learning experiences that are sure to captivate young learners. As part of this workshop, we will go on a field trip to visit Synergy Park which is located just a short drive from Region 7 ESC.

Participants will explore activities that align with the new PreK Guidelines and the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. Participants will actively participate in learning opportunities and leave with the tools needed to implement learning by taking the Head Start classroom outdoors.
