STR-Aligned Small Group Reading Instruction: A Simulation for K-3 Classrooms

Join us for this interactive session where you will experience small-group literacy instruction in various grade levels and tiers. We will role-play teacher-student interactions using appropriate texts and/or skills-based strategies and activities. After a brief overview of Tier 1 vs. Tier 2 instruction and best practices, participants will rotate through grade-level and tiered small-group instruction, which will be based on mock data. The instruction will focus on grades K-3 and will be held at the Lufkin ISD District Education Center but is open to all Region 7 districts/charters that are ACC Coop members.
