Using Data to Move Through The Tiers-Texas Plan 24-25

Texas has continued developing guidance with the implementation of the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS). MTSS, if done with fidelity and using evidence-based interventions, can provide useful data about the level of support a student needs. This workshop will target three specific modules developed by the state network TIER: a) the Universal Screener, (b) Progress Monitoring, and (c) Data-Driven Decision Making. These critical components of a three-tiered framework provided the evidence needed to determine if the student is responding positively and closing the gap between their performance and their same-aged peers. We will also review Senate Bill 1153 and how we document what interventions and supports students receive to determine if they are responding academically and behaviorally.
