MTSS: Universal Tier 1 Student Support for Academics & Behavior 24-25

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Universal Intervention (Tier 1) occurs in the general education classroom and is designed to support all students in their ability to access good instruction at grade level. Interventions and supports received during the core instructional minutes (universal time for all) meet the needs of about 80% of a school's population for both academics and behavior. For students needing additional intervention and support above the regular core instructional minutes, a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework is implemented to problem-solve, design, and implement individualized learning plans to close identified skill gaps. Join us as we explore the why of MTSS. Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) fall under the MTSS umbrella and TEA's expectation of the framework. This introductory level will dive deep into processes of the systematic framework of academic and behavioral interventions necessary for student progress.
Attendees will be able to participate in this webinar in their district via the Zoom link provided in the registration confirmation email.
