Effective Methodologies for Special Education Counseling 24-25

Special Education Related Service Counseling can be a powerful support in changing students' educational outcomes. Unfortunately, many school-based practitioners feel ill-equipped and unprepared to deliver effective services. This session will provide school-based mental health professionals with information and strategies to increase their confidence and competence in the delivery of sped counseling services.
In this session, participants will discuss and review different counseling methodologies for use in schools, consider possible applications for various counseling methodologies, and discuss practical and logistical issues related to the implementation of counseling. Attendees will be able to participate in this webinar in their district via the Zoom link provided in the registration confirmation email and professional development records.
