Three C's of Behavior Management for Students with Complex Access Needs: Connection, Communication, Choices 24-25

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This course is dedicated to ensuring a high-quality and evidence-based education for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. This training will examine behavior management through the lenses of connection/relationship, communication, and choices.
Educators will provide appropriate and effective behavioral supports for students with complex access needs. We will walk through a training developed by Texas SPED Support in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency and discuss how the content can directly impact students in our region.
The following concepts will be established and reinforced:
• All students have a sense of belonging and connectedness.
• All students have an effective way to communicate.
• All students experience control over their circumstances through choice-making opportunities.
