Active Learning for Students with Visual Impairments and Significant Disabilities 24-25

Students with multiple disabilities, including severe cognitive delays, visual impairments, and deafblindness, require unique lesson planning considerations. Participants will work through a process to capture information about the student's preferences and responses to plan engaging instructional activities. Meaningful, active learning lesson ideas aligned with standards will be explored. This introductory session is considered an initial overview of Lilli Nielsen's Active Learning and will contain a make-and-take activity at the end of the day.
