Implementation of the NEW Science TEKS and the TEKS Resource System New Platform (Waskom ISD)

We will examine the background, rationale, and content of the new 2024-2025 Science TEKS to prepare for the implementation of high-quality science instruction. Explore the changes to the TEKS, such as the integration of science and engineering practices (SEPs) and recurring themes and concepts (RTCs), and unpack the implications for transitioning and planning classroom instruction to improve student learning outcomes. Then we will dive into the new TEKS Resource System platform and hone our navigation skills in locating the items needed for planning and implementing instruction.
