Take a Deep Dive Into Math 7.9C Updated with Real-World Activities

By addressing student expectation 7.9C involving the area of composite figures, we can implement an approach that integrates best practices tailored to increase student achievement and retention. The new feature of the course is the real-world connection activities. Beginning with examining the standard, identifying the key concepts and skills needed, and incorporating real-world connections will enhance students' engagement. Embracing the CRA approach of concrete-representational-abstract, we can get students to raise their level of achievement and understanding of 7.9C. Participants will have added more tools to their instructional toolbox.
