Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

There are various math manipulatives and models that are used in these foundational grades. Participants will engage with strategies for joining and separating with regrouping without jumping to the standard algorithm. We will highlight manipulatives and strategies such as place value, partial sums and differences, number lines, and the use of base ten blocks. We will look at the progression of fact fluency to include games to practice facts. We will look at the progression of manipulatives in the scope and sequence of the district and spend time using manipulatives to teach standards in the 2nd and 3rd grades. This workshop is for Marshall ISD. If you are interested in this session for your campus please contact Heather Plaisance at hplaisance@esc7.net.
