Texas MTSS Implementation-What makes the System Effective 23-24

In the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), schools are required to have a process for identifying students in need of additional intervention and support to access Universal core instruction. When used as intended, the three-tiered process uses individual student data to determine what evidence-based intervention and support strategies are needed to fill in academic and behavioral gaps for students at risk, including those with disabilities. Response to Intervention (RtI) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) fall under the umbrella of MTSS. This workshop will examine TEA's Statewide Initiative for implementing an effective student support system. We will target the nonnegotiable components of a three-tiered framework and the common trends hindering the work.
This workshop is primarily for Hemphill ISD.
