CTE Academy - Engineering

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Whether you teach traditional engineering classes or robotics this is the workshop for YOU! Get ready for a hands-on day of physical computing. Learn how code, electrical wiring and hardware all work together. Whether you have experience with electrical and computer engineering- or you are completely new- you will be able to take away complete lesson plans and best practices for your classroom by the end of the day. We will start by making an Electronic Blackout Poem with the Makey-Makey microcontroller. This project is cross-curricular, highly customizable to give students choice, and a great way to cover a plethora of Engineering Foundation TEKS. We will then make an electronic Zap-it Game and Operation Game with the BBC microbit. Finally, we will introduce more advanced computing with Arduinos and breadboards. Explore these super fun projects with us, learn how to manage supplies, and receive full lesson plans.
