Mentor/Mentee Kickoff Workshop: Building Leadership Clarity and Consistency ½ Day Attendance at the
Join us for an empowering half-day Mentor/Mentee Kickoff focused on building strong instructional leadership through the Effective Schools Framework, Lever 1 - Essential Action 1.1. This workshop will equip campus instructional leaders with the tools to establish clear, written, and transparent roles and responsibilities, ensuring that leadership tasks—such as observations, debriefs, and team meetings—are purposefully scheduled on weekly calendars.

Participants will learn how to create measurable performance expectations that align with job responsibilities and utilize consistent protocols to effectively lead their teams. Through collaborative discussions and practical exercises, mentors and mentees will explore strategies to foster student progress through data-driven decision-making and implement professional development practices that enhance leadership growth.

Per TAC 241.25 A principal or assistant principal employed for the first time as a campus administrator (including the first time in the state) shall participate in an induction period of at least one year. The induction period should be a structured, systemic process for assisting the new principal or assistant principal in further developing skills in guiding the everyday operation of a school, adjusting to the particular culture of a school district, and developing a personal awareness of self in the campus administrator role. Mentoring support must be an integral component of the induction period.
