Take the pressure off what to create and instead dive into how to create! This hands-on, mixed-media workshop is designed to spark creativity through mark-making—exploring various materials, techniques, and approaches that transform simple marks into expressive works of art.

Participants will experiment with non-traditional tools, abstract expressionist processes, and paper weaving, gaining strategies to overcome creative blocks and encourage artistic exploration. Designed for EC-12 teachers, this workshop isn’t just for art educators—any teacher can apply these techniques to help students break through “writer’s block” and creative anxiety in any subject.
