Adapting and Accommodating P.E. for Students with Disabilities

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Join us as we explore disability awareness, IEPs, making the curriculum accessible, and activities for all in the elementary secondary settings. This workshop will start with things all P.E. teachers need to know about their role in working with students who are served in special education. The majority of the day will be spent collaborating in a gym setting to problem-solve how to realistically accommodate or modify student expectations by altering activities to create supportive and inclusive environments for all students.

Participants will need to be prepared to discuss and model activities that they routinely use during P.E.

This workshop is primarily for Marshall I.S.D.
