Math That Makes Sense: Using Problem Strings to Build Numeracy (Grades K-5)

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Problem Strings help students see structure, make connections, and develop fluency without memorizing isolated procedures. Grounded in the work of Pam Harris (keynote speaker from the Making Math Memorable conference), this session shows how Problem Strings put the small instructional shifts from Developing Mathematical Reasoning into action. Teachers will explore how intentional sequencing builds reasoning and understanding in high school math courses and leave with ready-to-use examples and strategies that immediately elevate student thinking. ***This session complements Math That Makes Sense: Developing Mathematical Reasoning by showing how those small shifts come to life through Problem Strings.***
