ECR University - ECR 201

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Extended Constructed Responses (ECR) have taken center stage in the minds of RLA teachers and leaders across the state of Texas. Educators need time to analyze and understand ECR expectations and translate them into instructional practices. This session will provide teachers with the latest information regarding ECR and a lesson cycle model using best instructional practices to teach students to be successful in their constructed responses. Each stage of the creation of an Extended Constructed Response will be modeled with lesson activities and exemplars. Educators will leave this session with skills and tools to immediately take back to teach Extended Constructed Responses in their classrooms. Experience a modeling session with successful strategies used in the classroom from Region 7 teacher Stacy Shellhorse. Join us as we look at constructed responses and how we can connect thinking to writing responses. This is DAY 2 of a 2-day session on writing SCRs and ECRs.
