Join the Region 7 Spanish Spelling Bee!
This event is open to students in grades 4–8. Bring your top two spellers to compete in the regional competition at Region 7 on January 23.

To participate in the Regional Spanish Spelling Bee, your campus or district must first host a Spanish Spelling Bee for students in grades 4–8 prior to the regional competition.

Join us for an informational Zoom meeting on October 9 to help you plan and host your own campus or district spelling bee.

The Spanish Spelling Bee is a competition in which students in grades 4–8 spell challenging Spanish words in a bee-style format, testing their knowledge of Spanish vocabulary and orthography. Each district may bring its top two Spanish spellers along with at least one district or campus staff chaperone.

All students will compete in the same group (grades 4–8) using words from the same spelling list. The competition is conducted entirely in Spanish, requiring students to spell words with correct accents and diacritical marks.

The top five spellers at the regional level will advance to the State Spanish Spelling Bee in El Paso, Texas, on June 4, 2026.
