This workshop targets the core revising and editing skills found in TEKS, where students often struggle to improve clarity, organization, diction, and sentence effectiveness. With 7 items assessed and an average mastery of 47%, this area represents a major opportunity for writing growth across grade levels. The session will include model revision purposeful, strategic processes that strengthen sentence effectiveness through combining, expanding, and refining techniques. Participants will leave with practical tools including revision frames, mini-lessons, student exemplars, and editing practices that build confidence and mastery in both middle school and high school writing.
