This workshop targets persistent student weaknesses in fiction comprehension, focusing on the literary elements TEKS. Participants will explore strategies for teaching character development, linear and non-linear plot structures, and core plot elements. Educators will leave with practical routines, scaffolds, and discussion techniques that build deeper literary understanding. By the end of the session, teachers will be equipped with actionable tools to improve students’ ability to analyze characters, track plot movement, and interpret complex narrative structures.
