Brains, Boards, and Beyond: Games That Grow Minds

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Grounded in Eric Jensen’s brain-based research, this hands-on workshop invites educators to discover the neuroscience behind transforming simple, commercially available games (like chess, checkers, dominoes, and card games) into powerful learning tools. Participants will explore how strategic play sharpens focus, builds working memory and cognitive flexibility, and strengthens problem-solving skills, while also learning practical strategies to adapt these familiar games to reinforce academic concepts, boost motivation, and build a supportive, brain-friendly classroom community.
