Serving on a G/T placement committee is an important responsibility - one that comes with real questions and thoughtful decisions. This session offers a supportive, collaborative space for districts to bring their committee members together to explore placement processes, examine student data, and work through real-world scenarios. As teams collaborate, they will highlight what’s already working well in their district, identify insights that might otherwise go unnoticed, and explore thoughtful next steps to strengthen placement practices.

Teams will leave with practical strategies, shared understanding, and confidence to evaluate the strengths of all learners and make thoughtful placement decisions. Be prepared to engage, reflect, and discover new approaches that make your placement decisions both intentional and meaningful. This workshop satisfies the state requirement for the annual G/T 6-hour update.
