AI Alliance - Teacher AI Literacy: Engaging teachers in AI, Utilizing Safe Practices for AI

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Successful AI implementation depends on confident, informed educators. This session focuses on building teacher capacity by developing AI literacy, fostering engagement, and establishing safe, ethical practices for classroom use. Leaders will explore what teachers need to know—not just how AI works, but how to use it effectively to enhance instruction, save time, and support student learning.

Participants will examine real classroom use cases, explore practical tools, and identify common concerns such as academic integrity, data privacy, and over-reliance on AI. The session will also guide leaders in designing professional learning experiences that meet teachers where they are—whether they are hesitant beginners or early adopters.

By the end, participants will have a framework for supporting teachers through professional development, coaching, and clear usage guidelines.
