Understanding the purpose of challenging behavior is critical for developing effective intervention strategies. In this workshop, participants will learn evidence-based practices for Functional Thinking and conducting quality Functional Behavior Assessments. This workshop will include legal requirements and guidance from TEA, OSERS, and OESE on functional behavior assessments and interventions. Participants are highly recommended to attend Behavior 101 as a prerequisite for this workshop or be knowledgeable about foundational behavioral principles such as antecedents, behavior, consequences (ABCs), reinforcement, extinction, etc.
