The Verbal Behavior Approach to Teaching Students with Autism is a focused workshop for special educators interested in strengthening social, academic, and language instruction through an applied behavior analytic lens. Participants will learn the foundations of Skinner’s Verbal Operants and how the verbal behavior approach guides effective language teaching for students with autism. The session will also introduce commonly used assessment and instructional tools, including the VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R, with an emphasis on how these tools inform instructional planning and skill development in educational settings.
