G/T Administrator and Counselor Training for Bullard ISD

Administrators with authority for gifted/talented program decisions and counselors who work with gifted/talented students are required to complete a minimum of six (6) hours of professional learning that includes the nature and needs of gifted/talented students, program options for gifted/talented students, and an update following each legislative session. For counselors, this training also includes social-emotional learning considerations.

This workshop addresses these required components and includes assessment and identification of gifted/talented students as part of the learning experience, in accordance with 19 TAC §89.2(3).

This workshop is exclusively for employees of Bullard ISD. Districts or charters interested in offering this professional learning through Region 7 may contact Lori Ashby, (903) 988-6821.
