AHA/BLS Instructor Course – CPR/AED/First Aid with Fentanyl Opioid Response

This American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor Course prepares qualified healthcare and education professionals to teach AHA CPR, AED, and First Aid training, including response to Fentanyl opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies.
Participants will gain the knowledge and instructional skills needed to train both lay responders and other instructors in recognizing and responding to opioid overdoses, unresponsive patients, and cardiac arrest scenarios involving opioids. Instruction includes hands-on practice with CPR devices, high-quality CPR for unresponsive individuals exposed to Fentanyl opioids, AED use, and next-level emergency response requirements related to opioids.
The course also covers fentanyl contamination awareness and response, along with Naloxone (Narcan) administration training as part of the First Aid curriculum. Emphasis is placed on scene safety, rapid assessment, next-level response, and coordination with emergency medical services.
Upon successful completion, participants are authorized to teach AHA-aligned CPR/AED/First Aid courses within their school district or organization. Instructor certification is valid for two (2) years.
