ADHD & Developmental Trauma: Understanding Symptom Overlap in School-Based Practice

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Come join us as we hear from Lauri Anderson, Tyler ISD's Counseling Director. This training explores the overlap between ADHD and developmental trauma in children and adolescents and how these conditions can present similarly in school settings. Participants will examine key differences between neurodevelopmental executive function deficits and trauma-related stress adaptations that affect attention, behavior, and emotional regulation. Participants will leave with practical, trauma-informed strategies that combine executive function supports, relational safety, and physiological regulation to improve student outcomes and reduce misidentification or punitive responses.
