Mastering ECR: From Annotation to Accomplished

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This session equips teachers and instructional coaches with tools and processes that strengthen Extended Constructed Response (ECR) instruction. Participants will receive the TCMPC STAAR Writing Guide, which provides instructional best practices and models the thinking about reading students must engage in to produce effective ECRs. The session also explores WriteAlign, an AI-supported scoring tool that provides rubric-aligned feedback and performance data. Attendees will analyze this data and collaboratively design instruction that reinforces students’ reading-to-writing thinking and supports progress toward accomplished writing performance.
