From Sounds to Words: Unlocking Reading with Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, and Word Work

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This workshop equips educators with practical, research-based strategies to build strong foundational reading skills. Participants will explore how phonemic awareness, phonics, and word work work together to support students in decoding, encoding, and recognizing words automatically. Through hands-on activities and classroom-ready routines, teachers will learn how to explicitly teach sound manipulation, connect sounds to print, and reinforce learning through meaningful word study. The session emphasizes aligning instruction to the Science of Reading while providing engaging, effective practices that can be implemented immediately in the classroom.
