Description

How do we make grade-level content accessible to emergent bilingual students while continuing to challenge them academically? Sheltered Instruction gives teachers practical, research-based strategies to do just that. In this interactive introductory session, participants will explore key components of Sheltered Instruction and experience strategies that build comprehension, increase meaningful student interaction, and strengthen academic language. Walk away with ready-to-use ideas you can put into practice right away to support emergent bilingual students—and strengthen instruction for all learners.
