AI Foundations: Developing AI Literacy and Workflows - Spring Hill (Day 1: Elementary)

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This foundational workshop introduces educational leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers to the essential concepts, capabilities, and considerations of artificial intelligence in education. Participants will move beyond AI myths and headlines to develop a practical understanding of how AI systems work, what they can and cannot do, and how to evaluate AI tools critically. In addition, participants will explore **AI workflows**—structured, repeatable processes for integrating AI into everyday tasks such as lesson planning, assessment design, feedback cycles, communication, and data analysis—moving from isolated tool use to intentional, efficient practices that save time and enhance instructional impact. Through hands-on exploration, collaborative discussion, and real-world scenarios, participants will build the confidence and knowledge needed to make informed decisions about AI integration. By the end of the session, participants will understand key AI terminology, gain experience with common AI tools, and be prepared to design and implement AI-supported workflows that strengthen teaching, learning, and professional productivity.

This session is for Spring Hill ISD only. For a similar session at your district, please contact Cyndi Nyvall at cnyvall@esc7.net.
