Collaborative Conversations - McKinney-Vento and UIL Eligibility

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Join us for a conversation with UIL Waiver Officer Nakita Guillory and Sarah Worthington, Director of the Texas Foster Youth Justice Project. This session will offer practical strategies and resources to help liaisons and school staff address common barriers faced by students experiencing homelessness and unaccompanied homeless youth. Nakita will focus on navigating the UIL eligibility process—including the forms, signatures, and documentation required for varsity athletic participation. Sarah will discuss legal issues that may arise and resources for helping students obtain essential documents, such as ID cards, birth certificates, and driver’s licenses.
