G/T 6-Hour Update: Inventive Thinking in the Classroom Grades 4-8

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Every innovation begins with a problem, a question, or a “What if?” In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore inventive thinking strategies that help students think creatively, work through challenges, and develop ideas. We’ll experience the inventive thinking process through brainstorming, divergent thinking, mind mapping, prototyping, testing, and refinement. Along the way, we’ll explore ways to spark curiosity, support flexible thinking, and help students strengthen their ability to revise and improve their thinking over time. Come ready to think, create, collaborate, and invent. You’ll leave with practical strategies and classroom-ready tools to support creative thinking, problem-solving, and student-driven exploration in any learning environment. This workshop satisfies the state requirement for the annual G/T 6-hour update.
