An Overview of the Manifestation Determination Review (MDR) Process 25-26

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

The Manifestation Determination Review (MDR) is a critical process within the special education framework that safeguards the rights of students with disabilities. An MDR is the process of reviewing all relevant information and the relationship between a student's disability and the behavior subject to disciplinary action. An MDR is conducted by a team that includes a school representative, a parent, evaluation staff, and any "relevant members" of the student's IEP team. Join us for an informative session that explores the MDR process and its significance in ensuring appropriate educational opportunities for students.
By the end of the session, participants can differentiate between what does and does not constitute out-of-placement and identify at least three resources to use to determine manifestation.
Attendees will be able to participate in this webinar in their district via the Zoom link provided in the registration confirmation email and professional development records.
