Connecting the Rubric of Effective Practices to T-TESS for Students with Complex Access Needs 25-26

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This half-day workshop is designed to help educators use the Rubric of Effective Practices (REP) to develop meaningful and actionable T-TESS professional goals. Participants will explore the REP framework and identify instructional practices that support students with complex access needs, including students with significant cognitive disabilities, communication needs, and extensive support requirements.

Through guided reflection, self-assessment, classroom examples, and collaborative activities, participants will learn how to align REP indicators with T-TESS domains and dimensions to identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth. Educators will examine evidence of effective practice, analyze their current instructional approaches, and develop T-TESS goals that are specific, measurable, and directly connected to improving student access, engagement, and outcomes.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the REP, practical tools for evaluating their instructional practices, and a draft T-TESS goal aligned to the needs of the students they serve.
