ELPS in Practice for Secondary Math

Secondary math teachers will explore practical ways to incorporate the ELPS into daily mathematics instruction. Participants will examine strategies that strengthen academic language, mathematical discourse, representations, and student reasoning while maintaining the rigor of grade-level content. The session will emphasize classroom-ready practices that help English learners make sense of mathematics, communicate their thinking, and engage meaningfully in learning.
