This session is designed to empower parents with the knowledge and tools to support their bilingual children's educational journey. This session will address key topics, including education inequality in Texas and the importance of understanding and embracing your child's linguistic identity. Parents will learn practical strategies for developing academic vocabulary at home, gain insights into high school requirements for bilingual students, and explore the U.S. Department of Education's English Learner Parent Toolkit. This institute aims to equip parents with the resources and confidence needed to advocate for their children's success in bilingual education.
