Participants will receive training on UIL Solo and Duet Acting that focuses on character development, literary analysis, and performance skills through the selection, memorization, and presentation of scenes. During the training, the presenter will model how to coach students with prepared materials while giving middle school students and sponsors the opportunity to observe a live coaching session. Modeling of the events will take place with members of high school speaking events. In addition, participants will receive practice materials for their middle school students and guidance on coaching practices.

The Aspiring Assistant Principals Academy provides selected teachers with professional learning opportunities aligned to the Los Fresnos CISD Profile of an Assistant Principal. This academy is designed to develop participants’ foundational leadership skills, including instructional coaching, communication, and school operations management. Throughout the academy, aspiring assistant principals participate in structured learning sessions and practical experiences, such as shadowing fellows in the Aspiring Principal Fellowship. These shadowing experiences allow participants to observe leadership in action and gain insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of campus administration.
