Starting Strong with Character Strong: Building Culture, Connections and Compliance

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

This professional learning session is designed to support educators and campus teams in launching the school year with a strong foundation of relationships, positive culture, and clear expectations through the implementation of CharacterStrong. Participants will explore strategies for building meaningful connections with students, establishing supportive learning environments, and creating consistent campus practices that promote character development, belonging, and student success.
The session will focus on beginning-of-year implementation practices, including establishing routines, reinforcing behavioral expectations, integrating social-emotional learning (SEL), and utilizing CharacterStrong resources to support student growth. Participants will also review relevant Texas education requirements and guidance related to student support, character development, safe and supportive school environments, and educator responsibilities to ensure practices are aligned with state expectations.
