Growing Strong Together: Elementary Counseling, SEL and Strategic Fall and 80/20 Planning

This professional learning session is designed to help elementary school counselors prepare for a successful start to the school year through intentional planning, collaboration, and student-centered practices. Participants will explore strategies for implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that aligns with the 80/20 framework, ensuring the majority of counselor time is dedicated to direct and indirect services that positively impact student outcomes. The session will focus on integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) into counseling programs, developing a strategic plan for the fall semester, and prioritizing services that support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Counselors will collaborate to review district priorities, share effective practices, and create actionable plans for classroom guidance, small groups, individual student support, and family engagement.
