HIgh School Counseling 2026: Updates, priotiteis and the 80/20 Framework

This professional learning session provides high school counselors with essential program updates for the 2026-2027 school year, current district and state priorities, and practical strategies for aligning daily practice with the 80/20 framework. Participants will review key initiatives, explore expectations for comprehensive school counseling programs, and examine how to maximize time spent on direct and indirect services that support student academic achievement, college and career readiness, and social-emotional development. Through collaborative discussions and action planning, counselors will identify opportunities to strengthen program implementation, enhance student outcomes, and ensure their work reflects data-informed, student-centered practices.
