Federal Income Tax

Federal Income Tax for Individuals. Presentation of the basic structure of the Federal Income Tax system in light of recent changes that took effect in 2019. Questions to be addressed will include what income is taxable, which forms of income are not taxable, or perhaps are partially taxable depending on other circumstances. The presentation will also help to explain the differences between tax deductions and tax credits (refundable and non-refundable) and recent changes in the tax laws. The session is open to questions and answers. FREE income tax services are offered at STC as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program conducted in collaboration with the Internal Revenue Service and the United Way of South Texas each year - learn more about this great service!
