Checking In Before They Check Out

Studies prove that social emotional learning leads to improved academic achievement and less burnout. In this session you will be introduced to a social emotional learning tool that has 15 different journal prompts to assist you in creating purposeful connections with your students. By using these prompts, you can gain insight into your students' lives in order to improve student engagement and tailor lectures towards their specific needs. These activities can also help teach and implement valuable social emotional coping skills that can assist students in their academic life. Check in with your students before they check out!
