Workshop Registration Details

Strengthen and Enhance Your Post-Secondary Advising Skills! Advising training is critical to ensure school district staff have the tools and resources to support student success. The College Advising Training Program was designed using the National Academic Advising Association’s (NACADA) core values of academic advising. This training focuses on providing holistic support and a solid foundation of the South Texas College student support services and enrollment process, including assessment, and federal/state financial aid requirements. Participants also visit the Technology and Nursing & Allied Health Campuses to become familiarized with the many career/technical programs offered at South Texas College. Additionally, those participating will learn about specific academic and support services that promote student success, achievement and completion including technology enhanced advisement tools available to help students enroll, persist and complete their education at South Texas College.The training will be all week from June 24th through the 27th.
