Advisory Committees play a vital role in shaping workforce education programs by ensuring they remain aligned with local industry needs and opportunities. These meetings provide a platform to share successes, address challenges, and stay informed about emerging trends. A well-structured Advisory Committee meeting not only strengthens partnerships between the College and industry stakeholders but also enhances credibility when seeking grants and institutional funding.

This interactive workshop will guide participants through essential best practices for effectively planning, conducting, and documenting Advisory Committee meetings to maximize their impact.

Key topics covered will include:
1. Preparing for Success
Defining clear objectives Identifying and engaging key stakeholders Developing an effective agenda Sharing relevant information in advance

2. Running an Effective Meeting
Welcoming and engaging participants Facilitating productive discussions Utilizing data for informed decision-making Managing time efficiently

Defining action items and next steps Recognizing and appreciating contributions Maintaining ongoing communication
